Privacy Policy for Test Vehicles
This Privacy Policy explains how MOTOR Ai GmbH (“MOTOR Ai”, “we”, “us”, “our”) processes personal data of visitors to our website www.motor-ai.com. It covers data collected when you browse our site, use our contact forms, subscribe to communications, apply for a position with us, or otherwise interact with us online.
This Privacy Policy does not cover data collected via our test vehicles’ sensors (cameras, microphones, lidar, radar) while operating on public roads or private premises. That processing is described in our separate Privacy Notice for Test Vehicles.

3. WHAT DATA DO WE PROCESS WHEN YOU VISIT OUR WEBSITE, FOR WHAT PURPOSE, AND ON WHAT LEGAL BASIS?
3.1 Server Log Data
Whenever you access our website, our hosting provider automatically collects certain technical information sent by your browser, including: IP address, date and time of the request, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, and the amount of data transferred (“server log data”).
Purpose: to ensure the stable and secure operation of our website, to detect and defend against attacks, and for technical administration.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in the secure and functional operation of our website.
3.2 Cookies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website solely for traffic and performance analysis. Because our website is built using Squarespace, these cookies fall into the following specific categories:
Strictly Necessary Cookies: These functional and required cookies are essential for security, core site performance, and basic website operation. These do not track personal information and cannot be turned off. Non-essential cookies are set only with consent under § 25(1) TDDDG, and strictly rely on § 25(2) TDDDG.

3.4 Newsletter / Communications
If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter, we collect and process only your name, surname, and email address. We use this information strictly to send you our monthly updates and website communications. No other personal data is required or collected for this service.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (Consent).
Consent Withdrawal: You have the right to withdraw your consent and stop receiving these updates at any time. Every monthly email we send includes an automated "Unsubscribe" button located clearly at the bottom of the message. Alternatively, you can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us directly.
3.5 Job Applications / Careers Page
Data We Collect: This includes your contact details (first name, last name, email address, phone number), your CV/resume, cover letter, professional qualifications, employment history, and any other documents or text responses you provide during the application process.
Purpose of Processing: We use this data exclusively to evaluate your suitability for the advertised role, communicate with you regarding your application status, and conduct the hiring process.
Legal Basis: The legal basis for processing your data during the recruitment process is Art. 6(1§ 26 BDSG) GDPR (processing necessary to take steps prior to entering into an employment contract), as well as any applicable local employment data protection laws.
Data Retention: If your application is successful, your data will be transferred to your employee file. If your application is unsuccessful, we will securely delete your personal data within 6 months after closing the application process, unless you give us explicit consent to keep your details in our talent pool for future vacancies.
4. RECIPIENTS OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA
4.1 We only share your personal data with third parties where necessary for the purposes described in this notice, including:

4.2 These providers act as our processors and are contractually bound under Art. 28 GDPR to only process your data on our instructions and to implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures.
5. HOW LONG DO WE STORE YOUR DATA?
5.1 Server log data is generally deleted after 6 months, unless it needs to be kept longer to investigate a specific security incident.
5.2 Data from contact form inquiries is stored for the duration necessary to handle your request and, thereafter, for 6 months to address any potential follow-up or legal claims, consistent with statutory limitation periods.
5.3 Newsletter data is stored until you unsubscribe.
5.4 Job application data is stored for the duration of the recruitment process and for up to 6 months afterward, unless you consent to longer retention for future opportunities or applicable law requires longer storage.
6. AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING
6.1 We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you, in connection with this website.
7. YOUR RIGHTS REGARDING YOUR PERSONAL DATA
